Abstract

Background: Iron deficiency anemia (IDA) is considered as the major public health problem and the most common 
nutritional deficiency in India. Anemia affects the physical and mental growth of children, associated with increase 
maternal and fetal mortality, leads to reduced work productivity in adults.
