Evaluation of Serum Electrolyte Status among Pulmonary TB

Abstract

Background & Methods: The aim of the study is evaluation of Serum Electrolyte among Pulmonary TB patients. The estimation of sodium and potassium was done using flame emission spectrophotometry method, whereas estimation of chloride was done using colorimetric method, and estimation of bicarbonates was done using back titration method. Results: Sodium mean for male 129.21 and for females 133.2. We found Hyponatremia 43%, Hypokalemia 31% & Hypocalcemia 26%
