Background: Placental calcification, a degenerative process, can occur prematurely under pathological conditions and may adversely affect feto-maternal outcomes. It is often associated with complications such as pregnancy-induced hypertension (PIH), intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR), preterm delivery, and neonatal morbidity. Aim and Objectives: To assess the grades of placental calcification and correlate them with maternal conditions, such as PIH and vitamin D deficiency, and fetal outcomes, including APGAR scores, need for resuscitation, and neonatal complications.
