Introduction: Cardiovascular health significantly influences maternal and fetal outcomes
during pregnancy. Hemodynamic changes in pregnancy can exacerbate preexisting
cardiovascular conditions or uncover previously undiagnosed risks, especially in high-risk
groups such as women with obesity, diabetes, or hypertension. Early cardiovascular screening
provides an opportunity for timely interventions to reduce maternal and neonatal
complications.
