MORPHOMETRIC EVALUATION OF ASTERION IN DRY SKULL AND ITS CLINICAL IMPORTANCE
DOI:

The asterion is an important neurosurgical landmark located at the junction of several sutures at the posterior-lateral aspect of the skull. It overlies the transverse-sigmoid sinus junction and is used to avoid sinus injury during posterior cranial fossa surgery. This study aimed to evaluate the morphometry of asterion in relation to key cranial landmarks in 50 adult dry skulls.
