STUDY OF BCL2 EXPRESSION IN ENDOMETRIAL HYPERPLASIA AND ENDOMETRIAL CARCINOMA

Abstract

Endometrial cancer in one among the most common cancers affecting women. Endometrial hyperplasia is the precursor lesion of endometrioid endometrial carcinoma. Apoptosis and related proteins play an important role in the development of endometrial carcinoma.  This study is done to compare the expression of BCL 2 in Endometrial hyperplasia and Endometrial carcinoma in biopsy specimens, with normal endometrium as control, and therefore to assess its role in carcinogenesis and as a therapeutic target.
