Abstract

Aim: To find out the association between serum albumin and clinical outcome in acute ischemic stroke. Material and Method: The present prospective cross-sectional study was conducted at Sree mookambika Hospital from November 2023 to April 2024 among 100 patients, aged 45 years and above with symptoms and signs suggestive of stroke. Hypoalbuminemia is defined as serum albumin level less than 3.5 gram per deciliter. Severity of stroke at admission was assessed using the NIHSS scale
