Abstract

Background: Diabetes mellitus has been widely recognized as a significant risk factor influencingthe prognosis of COVID-19, with patients exhibiting poorer outcomes and higher mortality rates. However, the role of pre-COVID-19 glycemic control in determining the severity of the disease and clinical outcomes remains a subject of ongoing investigation.
