Abstract

Background :-Epidural anesthesia is commonly used for lower limb surgeries to provide effective intraoperative anesthesia and postoperative pain relief. Alpha two adrenergic agonists like dexmedetomidine and clonidine are often added to local anesthetics to improve the quality and duration of anesthesia. This study compares the effects of dexmedetomidine and clonidine as adjuvants to 0.5 percent bupivacaine in epidural anesthesia for lower limb surgeries.
