Abstract

Lack of knowledge among general dentists regarding periodontal perspectives & its associated link in cases of Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA), considering various tactic theories, could be one of the reason for attenuated increase of periodontitis and early tooth loss in the current scenario. Hence, the periodontist should play a major role in creating awareness regarding the importance of identifying & screening of OSA cases for its early intervention and prevention of development of periodontitis
