Abstract

Background: Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) has become an indispensable tool in maternal-fetal medicine and
gynaecology, offering high-resolution imaging without ionizing radiation. This study comprehensively reviews the
evolving role of MRI in diagnosing and managing pregnancy-associated obstetric complications and gynaecological
disorders.
Materials and Methods: A systematic search of electronic databases identified 42 relevant articles spanning from the
inception of MRI to 2023. Inclusion criteria covered studies involving human subjects, pregnancy-related complications,
and MRI applications. Data synthesis included meta-analysis techniques where quantitative data were available.
