Abstract

Background: In this study, we aimed to assess the prevalence and severity of respiratory
impairments among individuals who were positive for COVID-19 in past and to investigate the
association between disease severity during acute COVID- 19 infection and subsequent
pulmonary function abnormalities. This study examines the complex aspects of how COVID19 impacts the capacity of the lungs to function, investigating the underlying mechanisms,
possible risk factors, and consequences for public health policies and clinical treatment.
