Background and Aim: Studies have demonstrated a connection between diabetes and
depression. Diabetes and anxiety or depression each contribute to higher rates of illness and
death on their own. The objective of the study was to examine the prevalence of anxious
depression among diabetic patients and to explore the relationship between glycaemic control,
the duration of diabetes, and this mental health condition.
