Acne is a long-lasting inflammatory condition of the skin's hair follicles and oil glands. It is identified
by comedones, inflammatory papules, pustules, and occasionally, nodules and cysts. Scarring that
occurs as sequelae, is permanently disfiguring, both physically as well as psychologically. Multiple
techniques are often required in combination to achieve the best results for managing acne scars, as
there is no single ideal procedure or set algorithm. So, we decided to undertake this study to
evaluate acne scar patients and compare the results of the existing two modalities, Fractional
Carbon Dioxide Laser and Microneedling, in treating acne scars.
