Abstract

Background: Bronchiectasis is a chronic airway disease in which the inflammatory cascade based predominantly on airway infections, airway inflammation, and structural damage plays a role in progression and pathogenesis of disease. Conventionally, the severity of disease based on FEV1 and Bronchiectasis Severity Index (BSI) was recently designed as two multidimensional severity grading scales to assess the prognosis of bronchiectasis. Objective: Present study was aim to analyze correlation between bronchiectasis severity index and C- reactive protein in patients of bronchiectasis.
