Abstract

Collagen has become more and more popular in the last several decades. This study's primary goal is
to present a summary of the most current information on the benefits of collagen and its derived
material in animal experiments and clinical trials. Some of these beneficial benefits include
antioxidant, anti-aging, anti-tumor, anti-osteoporotic, anti-arthritis, anti-inflammatory, woundhealing, anti-hypertensive, and anti-atherosclerotic activity. About 30% of the dry weight of the
human body is composed of collagen, the most prevalent structural protein. For the construction of
bones, tendons, cartilage, connective tissues, and skin, it is essential.
