.Abstract
A comparative study was conducted on risk taking behaviour among male and female adults
in Hoshiarpur. Total 80 samples were taken by using purposive sampling technique. Socio
demographic tool and modified DOSPERT Scale (Domain-specific risk – taking Scale) to
assess risk taking behaviour. The reliability of the DOSPERT scale to assess risk taking
behavior was 0.81 as measured by Cronbach alpha
