Abstract

Background: Mental health disorders may be caused in adolescents due to many biophysical
and social risk factors. Increased screen time is also an emerging factor. Various professional
organizations, including the Indian Academy of Pediatrics have given recommendations for
digital wellness, but there is no clarity over the permissible number of hours per day in the
adolescent age group. This study screened adolescents for different mental health disorders and
Speculated their association with increased screen time.
