Abstract

AIM: The study aimed to find the correlation between thyroid function and severity of alcoholic liver disease.
METHODOLOGY: It was a case control study. 50 alcoholic patients with ultrasound proven liver disease were enrolled. 
The control included 50 non-alcoholic patients with ultrasound proven liver disease. The thyroid function tests were done in 
all the patients and its relation with severity of liver disease was determined.
