Abstract

Background
Sickle cell anaemia is a hereditary condition predominantly marked by persistent haemolytic 
anaemia & vaso-occlusive episodes. It impacts millions of individuals globally. No tissue or 
organ is exempt from damage caused by sickle cell illness, including the retina. The objective of 
this research work is to study the prevalence of sickle cell retinopathy in tribal populations.
