Introduction- Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic illness with a high morbidity rate due to its
complications. According to the data, left ventricular diastolic dysfunction (LVDD) is prevalent
in people with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Thus in order to postpone or prevent the onset
of HF and to provide a methodically targeted intervention aiming at lowering morbidity and
mortality in patients with T2DM, this study was planned to evaluate the prevalence and
predictors of diastolic dysfunction in T2DM.
