Importance of Door to Balloon Time in STEMI (ST- Elevation Myocardial Infarction) Patients Undergoing PAMI (Primary Angioplasty in Myocardial Infarction)

Abstract

Background
This study was conducted to investigate the importance of door-to-balloon time in STEMI (STElevation Myocardial Infarction) patients undergoing PAMI (Primary Angioplasty in 
Myocardial Infarction).
Methods
This was a hospital based cross-sectional study conducted among 66 patients undergoing primary 
angioplasty in myocardial infarction at the Medicine Department of Terna Medical College and 
Hospital, Nerul, Navi Mumbai, over a period of 18 months from January 2022 to July 2023 after 
obtaining clearance from the institutional ethics committee and written informed consent from 
the study participants.
