Abstract

BACKGROUND
Japanese Encephalitis (JE) is a mosquito-borne viral encephalitis predominantly affecting 
rural areas in Asia, with significant outbreaks in northeastern India, especially in Assam. 
Despite vaccination efforts, the disease remains a public health concern.
METHODS
This retrospective study, conducted from May 2022 to October 2024 at Tezpur Medical 
College and Hospital, analyzed the clinical profiles and outcomes of JE patients diagnosed 
via IgM ELISA.
