Background: Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a progressive condition characterized by a decline
in glomerular filtration rate (GFR) and is frequently accompanied by comorbidities such as
hypertension and diabetes. Gastrointestinal (GI) complications are common in CKD patients, often
exacerbating their clinical burden. Helicobacter pylori infection is known to contribute to GI tract
inflammation and ulceration, yet its prevalence and impact on CKD patients remain underexplored.
This study aims to investigate the prevalence of H. pylori infection and assess upper GI abnormalities
in CKD patients, particularly in relation to disease stage.
