Background: Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a major metabolic disorder characterized by chronic hyperglycemia resulting from insulin resistance and progressive pancreatic β-cell dysfunction. Thyroid dysfunction and diabetes mellitus frequently coexist due to shared  autoimmune, genetic, and metabolic pathways
