SPECTRUM OF HIGH-RESOLUTION COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY FINDINGS IN POST-TUBERCULAR LUNG DISEASE: A CROSS SECTIONAL STUDY FROM A TERTIARY CARE HOSPITAL IN NORTH INDIA

Abstract

Background: Pulmonary tuberculosis remains a major public health problem in India. Although successful anti-tubercular therapy achieves microbiological cure in most patients, many continue to experience chronic respiratory symptoms due to residual structural lung damage, collectively termed post-tubercular lung disease (PTLD). High-resolution computed tomography (HRCT) is a sensitive imaging modality for detecting and characterizing these residual pulmonary abnormalities.
