Background and Aims: Head and neck tumors, primarily squamous cell carcinomas, pose
significant diagnostic and therapeutic challenges due to their anatomical complexity. Early
detection and precise staging are crucial for improved outcomes. This study aimed to assess
the diagnostic accuracy and clinical utility of advanced imaging modalities, including
computed tomography (CT), functional MRI, MR spectroscopy, positron emission
tomography-computed tomography (PET-CT), and optical coherence tomography (OCT), in
managing head and neck malignancy.
