Background: Diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs) are a serious complication of diabetes mellitus, often leading to prolonged hospitalization, infection, and lower limb amputation. Effective local wound management plays a critical role in promoting healing and preventing complications. Normal saline is commonly used for wounddressing due to its safety and availability. However, topical sucralfate, with its mucoprotective and tissue-regenerative properties, may offer enhanced wound healing benefits.
