Background: DSH (deliberate self-harm) has recently become more common among Indian subjects. Self-harm has been connected to mental diseases such as depression, stressful life events, young age, and feminine gender. Understanding mental morbidities and sociodemographic characteristics in selfharming individuals might aid in the development of suicide prevention methods.
