Abstract

Background: Dentine hypersensitivity is one of the most painful long-term problems of the teeth and has the lowest success rate.1 Dentine hypersensitivity (DH) is defined as a “short sharp pain arising from exposed dentine most commonly at the tooth cervical area in response to thermal, tactile evaporative, osmotic or chemical stimuli but which cannot be ascribed to any other dental defects, diseases or restorative treatments”.2 Aim The aim of the present is to evaluate and compare the desensitizing Dente 91 tooth paste and Dente 91 mouthwash in the occlusion of dentinal tubules under scanning electron microscope (SEM).
