DOI:

Background: Cardiac disease during pregnancy remains a major concern for maternal and fetal
health. It contributes significantly to morbidity and mortality, especially in developing regions where
rheumatic heart disease (RHD) is prevalent. The physiological changes in pregnancy impose
additional strain on the cardiovascular system, leading to potential complications. The aim of this
study was to analyze the maternal and fetal outcomes in pregnant women with cardiac disease,
identifying risk factors and potential management strategies to improve prognosis.
