Abstract

Background: The maintenance of proper oral hygiene is a crucial aspect of overall health, with interdental cleaning playing a significant role in preventing oral diseases such as gum disease and dental caries. Aim and Objectives: This study aims to assess the level of knowledge and attitudes among dental and medical residents towards interdental cleaning and maintenance. Materials and Methods: A questionnaire-based survey was conducted among 600 students (300 dental and 300 medical) at educational institutions in Kanpur city. The survey assessed their knowledge regarding the importance of interdental cleaning, different cleaning aids, and their attitudes towards their use. The data was analyzed using statistical methods to determine significant differences between the two groups.
