INTRODUCTION: Caffeine is acknowledged for its stimulating effects on the central nervous system, and a variety of studies have assessed its role in enhancing neurocognitive functions. Nevertheless, the specific benefits of caffeine on exercise performance have not been thoroughly clarified, especially in relation to different cardiovascular and respiratory metrics. AIM AND OBJECTIVES: To evaluate the effects of caffeine on cardiopulmonary efficiency, employing the Harvard Step Test to measure the fatigue index both prior to and following caffeine intake, with subsequent statistical analysis for comparison.
