.Abstract
Background Ischemic Mitral Regurgitation (IMR) is a secondary complication of ischemic heart disease resulting from left ventricular (LV) remodeling rather than intrinsic mitral valve pathology. It significantly impacts morbidity and mortality, often leading to heart failure and reduced quality of life. Accurate diagnosis and effective management are critical to addressing the dynamic and multifactorial nature of IMR.
