Abstract

Background: CSU (chronic spontaneous urticaria) is the most diagnosed dermatological condition reported to clinicians. Second-generation antihistamines have proven to be effective in controlling the CSU. Following the guidelines, combined use of antihistamines is less recommended owing to the lack of synergistic effects. It is vital to explore effective management options owing to the challenges of CSU. Aims: The present study aimed to assess the efficacy and safety of the combination of 5mg levocetirizine and 20mg bilastine to 40mg bilastine up dosing for treating subjects with chronic spontaneous urticaria.
