Abstract

Spontaneous isolated superior mesenteric artery dissection (SISMAD) is an uncommon yet potentially life-threatening condition that can result in bowel ischemia and additional complications. Treatment approaches involve surgical intervention, endovascular procedures, and conservative care with anticoagulation therapy, along with careful monitoring. Here we present 3 cases with variable clinical presentation diagnosed with SISMAD on CT angiography. All 3 cases were managed conservatively.
