Context: Tacrolimus (TCR), often referred to as FK-506, is a class II medication in the biopharmaceutics categorization system (BCS) that has high log P values and is hence insoluble in water. Following dermal application, TCR struggles to penetrate the layers of skin and stays in the stratum corneum. The aim of this investigation was to create and assess thermosensitive solid lipid nanoparticles (SLNs) in order to enhance their penetration and retention.
