.Abstract
This study at Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College, Indore, investigates antibiotic resistance in under-five children with pneumonia, sepsis, and meningitis symptoms, focusing on Extended-Spectrum Beta-Lactamase (ESBL)-producing Uropathogenic Escherichia coli (UPEC). Analyzing 99 ESBLpositive UPEC strains from 1500 urine specimens, significant resistance was observed, notably against Piperacillin (100%), Ciprofloxacin (93%), and Norfloxacin (92%).
