Introduction: Urologic surgeries are performed in a wide age group – right from infants to young adults to elderly patients with many co- morbid conditions. These surgeries include cystoscopy, ureteroscopy (URS), retrieval of stones from urinary bladder, ureters, renal pelvis and ureteroscopic lithotripsy (URSL); others being nephrectomy, prostatectomy. Many procedures are either performed under or supplemented with regional anaesthesia in the form of spinal i.e. subarachnoid block (SAB) or epidural analgesia respectively.
