Abstract

Stroke, a critical medical emergency, occurs when the brain's blood supply is interrupted, leading to potential brain damage, long-term disability, or death. This study investigates the relationship between blood pressure parameters and stroke incidence, focusing on identifying key predictors among 250 hospitalized stroke patients. Participants' data, including age, gender, systolic and diastolic blood pressure, pulse pressure, and mean arterial pressure, were collected. Strokes were classified into ischemic and hemorrhagic types based on clinical diagnosis and imaging studies. The results indicated that elevated systolic and diastolic blood pressures are significant predictors of stroke, with higher values more strongly associated with hemorrhagic strokes.
