Abstract

Background Asthma is one among the most common chronic respiratory disease in women. It may cause disability, morbidity and mortality among women population worldwide. According to the global statistics in 2019, approximately 262 million people has Asthma and caused about 461,000 deaths. Majority of the deaths reported is in the developing countries. In India, women especially housewives who are invariably exposed to adverse domestic environmental factors are at a greater risk of developing chronic respiratory illness like asthma. Their awareness regarding domestic environmental risk factors and their adverse effect on health is poor.
