Abstract

Introduction: About half of all hip fractures are caused by intracapsular femoral neck fractures. The incidence is rising in tandem with longer life expectancies. It is commonly treated with femoral head replacement with a bipolar prosthesis. Materials & methods: The purpose of this research was to evaluate the functional result of modular bipolar hemiarthroplasty. The study included patients with intracapsular femoral neck fractures who reported to the institute's orthopaedic department and were between the ages of 50 and 80. Twenty five of these patients were chosen. Cemented modular bipolar hemiarthroplasty was used for all of the operations. The study was both prospective and retrospective in nature. For a minimum of Twelve months, routine clinical and radiological follow-up was performed. The Harris Hip score was used to evaluate the results.
