Abstract

Background: Most patients awaiting elective surgery experience pre-operative anxiety. Anxiety is an unpleasant emotion & may cause patients to avoid planned operation. It may also adversely influence anaesthetic induction & patient recovery. Present study was designed to study of the effects of oral clonidine in preoperative anxiolysis and attenuating hemodynamic responses to endotracheal intubation
