Background Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a progressive lung disease characterized by persistent respiratory symptoms and airflow limitation. The BODE index, incorporating B ody Mass Index (B), airflow Obstruction (O), Dyspnea (D), and Exercise capacity (E), offers a multidimensional approach to assessing COPD severity and predicting outcomes.
