Renal Artery Stenosis and Imminent Eclampsia in Pregnant Women with Takayasu Arteritis: Case Report

A Young pregnant woman, G4P2L1A1 with 9months of amenorrhea with Active Foetal Movements (AFM) came for safe confinement who is a known case of hypertension since 10years and is on Tablet Labetalol and Tablet Nicardipine throughout, of all her pregnancies. In 2015, she was admitted to a hospital with complaints of fatigue since 8months. Her CT Angiogram ruled out for the diagnosis with Takayasu arteritis, showing involvement in the branches of aortic arch, right and left sub-clavian stenosis and bilateral renal artery stenosis and hence stenting was performed in the abdominal aorta.
