.Abstract
Background Tear film instability is a key factor in the development of dry eye syndrome, which can lead to vision-threatening complications if not diagnosed and left untreated. Several clinical tests, including Schirmer's test, Tear Film Break Up Time (TBUT), and vital dye staining of the ocular surface can assess the integrity of the tear film.
