.Abstract
Background: Psoriasis was considered to be a chronic, recurrent skin disease, but it has been accepted as a chronic systemic inflammatory disease in recent years. Lipoprotein(a) (Lp(a)) is a lipoprotein that is synthesized in the liver and has a low density lipoprotein (LDL)-like molecular structure consisting of phospholipids, cholesterol, and apolipoprotein. Aim and objective: To assess the lipid metabolism and its correlation with severity of disease and associated cardiovascular risk factors in psoriasis.
