Abstract
This study aims to elucidate the surgical anatomy of the superior mesenteric vessels (SMV) and their relevance in colon and pancreatic surgeries. The superior mesenteric artery (SMA) and vein (SMV) play critical roles in the vascular supply and drainage of the intestines. Accurate knowledge of their anatomy is crucial for minimizing complications during surgical interventions. We conducted a detailed anatomical study using cadaveric dissections and imaging techniques to provide a comprehensive overview of the SMV's relationships
with the colon and pancreas. The results are tabulated and analyzed to guide surgical practice.
