Abstract

The findings of this particular study show that family physicians, healthcare administrators, and patients in
the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia employ telemedicine to varying degrees. Of the respondents, 35%
reported using telemedicine frequently and 25% said they used it sometimes or daily. It was mostly focused
on the management of other chronic diseases (40%) and follow-up consultations (35%), which indicates its
importance in the enhancement of long-stay patient care. Platforms based in hospitals accounted for 45%
of the share, showing that they are the leaders in the provision of telemedicine services.
