Background: Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) refer to a group of disorders affecting the heart and blood vessels. The present study was conducted to evaluate association between serum liver enzymes and cardiovascular diseases. Materials & Methods: 58 patients with incident CVDs of both genders were put in group I and 58 healthy subjects in group II. Parameters such as smoking and drinking habits, WHR, BMI, AST, ALT, ALP, CK-MB, glucose, TC, TG, and HDL-C were measured.
